DAY 1 | ARRIVE IN CAPE TOWN 

Meet your private guide at Ellerman House, located on Cape Town’s gorgeous Atlantic Seaboard. Enjoy a welcome orientation and overview of your exciting 10 days ahead.

After settling into your luxury suite, your guide will take you on a fascinating City Tour of Cape Town’s most interesting sights where you’ll get a great understanding of the city, the South African culture, and the country’s colorful and storied past.

End the day with sunset drinks and dinner at one of Cape Town’s best and most-loved restaurants.

DAY 2 | TABLE MOUNTAIN & COOKING COURSE

After breakfast, meet your guide and embark on a morning up Table Mountain! Choose to hike up one of the many challenging routes, or take the cable car if you’re not feeling energetic. At the top, explore the exquisite views, the trails, and the endemic fauna and flora found only on Table Mountain. Enjoy a coffee or hot chocolate before making your way down again via cable car.

At lunch time you’ll parktake in a fun and informative Cape Malay cooking course with a local lady in the comfort of her home in the colorful Bo-Kaap (the Cape Malay Quarter). Learn about the Cape Malay history and how the traditional food has played such an important role in the history and culture of Cape Town and her people.

Enjoy a relaxed evening at your leisure.

DAY 3 | CAPE POINT, BOULDER’S BEACH & KALK BAY

After breakfast, enjoy a breathtakingly scenic drive along Chapman’s Peak Drive and along the Cape Peninsula to Cape Point Nature Reserve. Explore the point with its crashing waves and hostile conditions before heading to Boulder’s Beach to see Africa’s only penguin colony.

Enjoy a delicious, laidback seafood lunch in the seaside town of Kalk Bay as you watch seals frolic in the chilly ocean beside you! Grab an ice cream and take a stroll through the quaint village of Kalk Bay before heading back to your hotel for a relaxed evening.

DAY 4 | KIRSTENBOSCH GARDENS & CONSTANTIA

After breakfast you’ll head to the world-renowned Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens set agains the lush and leafy side of Table Mountain. Kirstenbosch is the world’s best example of the Cape region’s endemic “fynbos” and it’s a kaleidoscope of fascinating color and birdlife.

Make your way to another beautiful location down the road – Groot Constantia (South Africa’s oldest wine estate), which is home to exceptional grounds and gorgeous views over the Cape Flats all the way to False Bay. Here you’ll learn about the estate’s wines, its history and heritage before enjoying a delicious wine tasting followed by an exceptional lunch in the spacious grounds under their towering, ancient oak trees.

Embark on an optional kayak tour from Granger Bay in the late afternoon before having some much-needed down time at your hotel.

DAY 5 | WINELANDS DAY 

After breakfast, you’ll make your way to the gorgeous Winelands town of Stellenbosch. This town is steeped in history and is world-renowned for its beauty and its excellent wine estates.

Take a short tour of the town’s most interesting sights and grab a coffee before visiting three superb wine estates in the Stellenbosch and Franschhoek region. The wine estates you visit will be tailored around your personal wine preferences and tastes, and will include estates that meet your needs in terms of scenery, food and ambience. Enjoy lunch at one of the estates followed by your final tasting in the afternoon.

Make your way back to Ellerman House for a quiet evening at your leisure.

DAY 6 | CAPE TOWN TO SABI SANDS PRIVATE RESERVE

Check-out of Ellerman House this morning and head to the airport for your direct flight to Nelspruit town – the gateway to the Greater Kruger National Park! After arriving in Nelspruit, you’ll get another short flight into the Sabi Sands Reserve. Set within South Africa’s premier game reserve, Lonlodozi’s Founders Camp is the most rewarding overall luxury safari experience available in South Africa. At Londolozi you have thousands of acres of wilderness to explore that offers some of the continent’s best sightings of leopards, lions, elephants, hyenas, rhinos, and much, much more!

Your daily safaris are led by expertly trained ranger and tracker teams, that ensure sensitive off-roading practices to allow close-up game sightings by vehicle or on foot. DAY 7 + 8 + 9 | LONDOLOZI FOUNDERS CAMP, SABI SANDS

Each day on safari you’ll wake up bright and early, enjoy a cup of coffee and a traditional “rusk” while you listen to the cacophony of bird calls around you as the sun starts to rise. Enjoy your first safari drive of the day (the early morning is when the animals are at their most active!). Stop for a coffee break in the middle of the bush before heading back to the lodge for a hearty breakfast.

DAY 7 + 8 + 9 CONT… | LONDOLOZI FOUNDERS CAMP, SABI SANDS

Spend the hottest part of the day relaxing around the pool, reading your book, or watching animals visit the camp’s dry riverbed, which is dotted with natural watering holes. This is the Sand River and it attracts a host of animals from baboons and antelopes to elephants and leopards, who come in search of shade and water.

Londolozi is also home to a world-class wellness centre – The Healing House. Over the last 12 years they have been a leader in wellness safari retreats by connecting people to the natural world as a way to facilitate profound personal transformation. They have partnered with the world’s leading wellness experts, life coaches, wisdom keepers and shamans to craft experiential learning spaces that accelerate awakening whilst on a safari experience. Join a yoga or meditation class, try out their fantastic spa, or simply shed some of those well-earned vacation calories in the gym.

Enjoy a sensational high tea at your camp followed by an afternoon safari drive at around 4 pm as you continue to experience Africa’s most iconic animals, interesting creatures, and beautiful scenery. Soak up a magnificent African sunset with sundowner drinks and snacks in the bush before heading back to to camp.

Dinner each night includes the best local and international cuisine available, as well as a phenomenal wine selection. Enjoy dinner under the stars followed by a few night caps around the camp fire before bed time!

Drift off to the sounds of hooting owls, roaring lions, and chuckling hyenas in this remarkable wilderness.

DAY 10 | SABI SANDS TO CAPE TOWN

This is your last day on safari (and of your trip!). Enjoy your last morning safari drive before packing up and catching your two flights back to Cape Town. You will arrive in Cape Town in the afternoon. Either extend your trip in South Africa, or prepare to depart from Cape Town International Airport tonight.
